Cancer, Ketu Is Coming to Your Moon, and Jupiter Is Coming With It

Cancer, Ketu Is Coming to Your Moon, and Jupiter Is Coming With It

Cancer, on 25 November 2026, Ketu comes to sit on your Moon. Rahu takes the opposite seat, in your 7th house of marriage and partnership. They’ll stay for about 18 months, until around June 2028.

If you’ve read anything about Ketu, you may already be worried. Ketu is the planet of detachment, of letting go, of questions without easy answers. Sitting on the Moon, it touches the mind itself. Some days you may feel like a stranger to your own life.

But I want you to know something that most predictions for Cancer are missing. For five months of this transit, from late January to late June 2027, Jupiter comes back into your sign, exalted, and sits right beside Ketu. No other rashi gets this. The most protective planet in the zodiac, in its strongest dignity, keeps company with Ketu exactly where Ketu is testing you most.

So this guide is not about bracing for 18 hard months. It’s about understanding a transit with a clear shape: a difficult start, a deeply protected middle, a demanding stretch, and an ending that leaves you wiser and lighter. I’ll show you the three phases, the exact months your nakshatra feels it most, and a practical plan for each stretch.

Ketu on your Moon, Rahu in your 7th

Ketu in the 1st is the energy of release, sitting on your mind and your sense of self. Things that used to excite you may suddenly feel flat. Roles you’ve played for years, the caretaker, the one who holds the family together, may start to feel like costumes. Many Cancerians in this transit ask, often for the first time, “What do I actually want?” Physically, Ketu over the Moon often shows up as vague complaints that are hard to diagnose: digestion, sleep, low energy. Look after the basics.

There is a real gift inside this. Ketu is the planet of moksha and insight. Your intuition will be unusually sharp, your interest in spiritual life deeper, and your ability to see through people and situations much clearer. Ketu takes away what is false so that what is true can remain.

And notice where Ketu sits: in Cancer, the Moon’s own sign. This is Ketu in the home of the mind, so the work of this transit is emotional, not material.

Rahu in the 7th puts the spotlight on partners, in marriage, business and public dealings. Rahu here often brings someone ambitious, unconventional or from a very different background into your life. In an existing marriage, your spouse’s career or ambitions may take centre stage.

Because Rahu sits in Capricorn, Saturn’s sign, partnerships with institutions, government or larger organisations can grow. The caution is that Rahu in the 7th can blur judgement about people, so new partners need careful checking.

If your lagna is also Cancer, these same houses apply and you’ll feel them doubly. If your lagna is different, read that guide too.

This transit is also the peak of Ketu’s own cycle over the Moon, the counterpart to Rahu’s Sade Sati. You’ve already lived through phase one: Ketu sat in your 2nd house from May 2025, often bringing detachment around family and money. After this peak, Ketu moves into your 12th house around mid-2028 for the final phase.

Three phases, three different stories

Rahu and Ketu give the results of the nakshatra lords they pass through. Each of those lords rules particular houses for a Cancerian, so the same transit unfolds as three distinct chapters.

Phase one, 25 November 2026 to about late March 2027: partnership meets career. Rahu sits in Dhanishta, ruled by Mars. For Cancer, Mars is the yogakaraka, the single most auspicious planet in your chart, ruling your 5th house (children, creativity, intelligence) and your 10th (career, status).

So Rahu in your 7th, working through Mars, connects partnerships with your career. Business partnerships, joint ventures, and opportunities that come through other people tend to be productive.

Meanwhile Ketu, on your Moon, sits in Ashlesha, ruled by Mercury, your 3rd and 12th lord. Expect less appetite for small talk, more need for solitude, and possibly higher expenses.

Phase two, about late March to early December 2027: relationships become about you. Rahu moves into Shravana, ruled by the Moon, your own sign lord. Rahu in your 7th, in your own lord’s nakshatra, means your partnerships stop being background and start defining you.

Who you’re married to, who you work with, who you’re seen with: these become questions of identity in 2027. From about August, Ketu moves into Pushya, ruled by Saturn, your 7th and 8th lord. That brings a sober, searching quality to marriage and to shared money.

Some Cancerians will deepen their commitment; others will see clearly what needs to change.

Phase three, about early December 2027 to June 2028: partnership and money. Rahu enters Uttarashadha, ruled by the Sun, your 2nd lord. The partnership theme now turns toward finances and family: joint accounts, your spouse’s family, business revenue sharing.

Ketu moves through Pushya and finally into Punarvasu, ruled by Jupiter, your 6th and 9th lord. That brings attention to health and daily routines, and a deepening of faith in the last weeks.

Your nakshatra decides when it hits

Ketu doesn’t touch every Cancerian at once. The deepest effect comes in the months when Ketu crosses the exact degree of your Moon. Because Ketu moves backward from the end of Cancer, those born in Ashlesha feel it first, then Pushya, and those born in Punarvasu last.

What matters even more is what else is happening in the sky at that moment. For some Cancerians, the exact crossing falls while Jupiter is sitting beside Ketu. For others, it falls under Saturn’s pressure. Find your Moon’s degree in your kundli and read your row:

Your Moon in Cancer Ketu crosses it roughly The sky at that time
Ashlesha (27°–30°) Late Nov 2026 – Jan 2027 Ketu near the gandanta point; Jupiter not yet back
Ashlesha (19°–27°) Feb – Jun 2027 Jupiter, exalted, sits with Ketu in your sign: the most protected crossing
Ashlesha (16°40′–19°) Jul – early Aug 2027 The Saturn window has begun
Pushya (12°30′–16°40′) Aug – Oct 2027 Inside the Saturn window, the hardest combination
Pushya (7°–12°30′) Nov 2027 – Jan 2028 Relief, as Saturn returns to Pisces
Pushya (3°20′–7°) Feb – Apr 2028 Saturn’s second window
Punarvasu (0°–3°20′) Apr – Jun 2028 Saturn’s second window, softened by Jupiter’s nakshatra

The dates are approximate, because the True Node wobbles slightly, but they’re close enough to plan around.

If you’re born in late Ashlesha, I want to be honest about the first weeks. The meeting point of Cancer and Leo is a gandanta, a knot in the zodiac, and Ketu crosses your Moon right beside it before Jupiter arrives. Those weeks can feel disorienting. They pass.

If you’re in the middle of Ashlesha, you have the best placement of any Cancerian: your exact crossing is held by Jupiter. And if you’re in the upper half of Pushya, your crossing comes under Saturn. Plan those months for steadiness, not new beginnings.

Your windows: when to move, when to hold

Your best months: late January to late June 2027

Jupiter has been exalted in your sign since June 2026. It moves into Leo on 31 October, just before the nodes change, and then something unusual happens. From about 25 January to 26 June 2027, Jupiter moves back into Cancer, still exalted, and sits beside Ketu on your Moon. From there, its 7th aspect falls on Capricorn, onto Rahu in your 7th house.

So in these five months, Jupiter touches both nodes in your chart at once: it keeps Ketu company on your mind, and it watches over Rahu in your partnerships. Ketu’s detachment becomes wisdom rather than emptiness. Rahu’s ambitions in the 7th get Jupiter’s judgement. This is the time to make decisions about marriage, business partnerships, career moves and your health, with the clearest mind this transit will give you.

Your demanding months: June to October 2027, and again from February 2028

On 3 June 2027, Saturn enters Aries, your 10th house, where it is debilitated. A weak Saturn in the house of career means frustration at work: slow recognition, difficult bosses, extra responsibility without reward.

And from Aries, Saturn looks at three more places in your chart. Its 10th aspect falls on your 7th house, where Rahu sits, so partnerships are tested. Its 7th aspect falls on your 4th, touching home and your mother. Its 3rd aspect falls on your 12th, touching sleep and expenses.

Realistically, this is the stretch to protect what you have. Saturn returns to Pisces, your 9th house, on 20 October 2027, and you’ll feel the relief. It re-enters Aries in February 2028.

There is a softening factor here too. From late June 2027, Jupiter is in Leo, your 2nd house, and its 9th aspect falls on Aries, your 10th, the very house where Saturn sits. Through the hardest months at work, Jupiter keeps an eye on your career.

The practical rule for Cancer: make your choices before June 2027, keep your position steady from June to October, and rebuild from November.

Putting it together: a worked example

Let me show you how to read this for one person. Take a Cancerian man with his Moon at 14° Cancer, in Pushya. In the next 18 months he’s thinking of two things: changing his job, and starting a small business with a friend on the side.

From the table above, Ketu crosses his Moon exactly between August and October 2027, inside the Saturn window, while Saturn also sits in his 10th house of career. Those are the worst possible months for him to change jobs or begin a partnership.

So he moves his plans forward. He applies for and takes the new job between February and May 2027. That’s phase one turning into phase two, with Mars, his yogakaraka and 10th lord, activated in phase one, and Jupiter exalted in his sign throughout. He also sets up the side business in that window, with a written agreement that defines roles and profit sharing, because Rahu in his 7th, in Saturn’s sign, rewards structure and punishes vagueness.

From June to October he keeps his head down in the new job, doesn’t expand the business, and protects his sleep and health. In December, as phase three begins with the Sun, his 2nd lord, he reviews the business’s accounts with his partner.

The transit is the same for every Pushya-born Cancerian. The outcome depends on whether you knew the map.

Aligning with the energy: your plan

I don’t prescribe rituals for transits. Understand the energy, see where it sits, and plan your life around it. For a Cancerian, this is what that means.

Ketu on your Moon: release the roles, keep yourself. Ketu wants to strip away what is no longer true. In Cancer, the sign of nurturing, that usually means the roles you’ve carried out of habit: always available, always caring, always holding everyone together. Align with Ketu by consciously putting down what no longer fits. Say no more often. Let others in the family carry more.

Give yourself regular, scheduled time alone, because Ketu needs silence and you’ll feel restless without it. A steady inner practice, whatever form suits you, gives that silence a shape. And don’t make identity-level decisions on foggy days. Ketu’s clarity comes in flashes; wait for one.

Look after the body gently and regularly. Ketu on the Moon often shows up as vague physical complaints. Don’t wait for them to become serious. Keep regular meal times, protect your sleep, and get check-ups on schedule rather than when something goes wrong.

Rahu in your 7th: give partnerships a structure. Rahu brings ambitious, unusual people and opportunities through others. Capricorn tells you how to handle them: with clear agreements, defined roles and patience. Put business arrangements in writing. Check the background of anyone new before you commit.

In marriage, support your spouse’s ambitions, because Rahu in your 7th may make them more driven, but speak up about what you need. Silence plus Ketu’s detachment can create distance neither of you intended.

Then align with each phase.

  • Phase one (Mars, your yogakaraka): this is your window for career moves and productive partnerships. Act on them once Jupiter arrives in late January.
  • Phase two (Moon, your own lord): have the important conversations about your marriage and partnerships in spring, under Jupiter. From June, don’t change jobs or enter new partnerships. Strengthen what you already have.
  • Phase three (Sun, your 2nd lord): put shared finances in writing. Clarify joint accounts, family money and how business income is shared.

Your Cancer planner, November 2026 to June 2028

Save this, or share it with a Cancerian you care about.

Period What the sky is doing How to align
25 Nov 2026 – 24 Jan 2027 Ketu arrives on your Moon near the gandanta point; Jupiter has just moved to your 2nd Slow down. No identity-level decisions. Start a gentle health routine
25 Jan – late Mar 2027 Jupiter returns, exalted, beside Ketu; phase one (Mars, your yogakaraka) Career moves and business partnerships. Creative and children-related plans
Late Mar – 2 Jun 2027 Phase two begins (Moon, your own lord); Jupiter still in your sign Important marriage and partnership conversations and commitments
3 – 26 Jun 2027 Saturn enters your 10th; the two windows overlap Finish what you started. Nothing new late in the month
27 Jun – 20 Oct 2027 Saturn window: debilitated Saturn in your 10th, looking at your 7th, 4th and 12th Hold your position at work. No new partnerships. Protect sleep and health
21 Oct – early Dec 2027 Saturn returns to your 9th: relief Recover. Review the year. Plan 2028
Early Dec 2027 – Jan 2028 Phase three begins (Sun, your 2nd lord) Put shared finances and family money matters in writing
Feb – Jun 2028 Saturn’s second window; Ketu’s final months on your Moon Hold steady. Prepare for Ketu’s move into your 12th

If your Moon degree puts your exact crossing inside one of the harder stretches, treat those months as the ones to protect most carefully.

The Cancerian who comes out of this

When Ketu leaves your Moon in mid-2028, you’ll be lighter. Some things will have fallen away: roles, habits, perhaps people. What remains will be more genuinely yours. Many Cancerians come out of this transit calmer, more intuitive and far clearer about what they want from their relationships. The ones who struggle are those who hold on to everything Ketu is trying to release.
