Capricorn, Rahu Sits on Your Moon for 18 Months. Find Your Hardest Months

Capricorn, this transit is about you more than anyone else.

On 25 November 2026, Rahu enters your sign and sits on your Moon for about 18 months. Ketu takes its place opposite, in your 7th house of marriage and partnership. Every other rashi will experience Rahu in some outer area of life: career, home, money, travel. You will experience it in your own mind.

I won’t pretend that’s easy. But I also want you to read this guide with the right expectation. In my experience, Rahu over the Moon is one of the most transformative transits a person can go through. Many people look back on it as the period when they finally became who they wanted to be. The ones who struggle are usually the ones who never understood what was happening to them.

So this guide does three things. It shows you how the 18 months divide into three distinct phases for a Capricorn. It tells you, based on your birth nakshatra, exactly when the transit will feel most intense for you. And it gives you a practical plan for each stretch, so you can work with Rahu’s energy rather than against it.

Rahu on your Moon, Ketu in your 7th

Rahu in the 1st is the hunger for self-reinvention. The 1st house from the Moon is your identity, your body, your temperament, the way the world sees you. With Rahu here, you’ll want to be more, and you’ll feel it physically, as restlessness. Many Capricorns will change their career, their city, their appearance or their social circle in these months. Because the Moon also signifies the public, this placement can bring visibility and recognition. The cost is internal: overthinking, broken sleep, and moments of doubting even people who love you.

There’s something important about where Rahu sits. Capricorn is Saturn’s sign, and Saturn is your own sign lord. So Rahu is a guest in your house, and it must play by your house’s rules: patience, structure, earned results. Capricorns who build steadily during this transit gain enormously. Those who chase shortcuts find Saturn’s sign unforgiving.

Ketu in the 7th creates distance in partnerships. It rarely means a breakup. More often, one partner feels the other is not fully present, emotionally somewhere else. In business, a partnership may lose its spark, or you may realise you’ve outgrown an arrangement. Ketu in Cancer, the Moon’s sign, makes this emotional rather than practical.

If your lagna is also Capricorn, the same houses apply, and you’ll feel this doubly. If your lagna is different, read that guide too. The truest picture comes from combining both.

This transit is also the peak of what I call Rahu’s Sade Sati, the four-and-a-half-year cycle of Rahu over the Moon. You’ve already lived through phase one: Rahu sat in your 2nd house from May 2025, stirring money and family. After this peak, Rahu moves to your 12th house around mid-2028 for the final phase.

Three phases, three different stories

Here is the layer you won’t find in a generic rashiphal. As Rahu moves backward through Capricorn, it passes through three nakshatras, each ruled by a different planet. Rahu gives the results of its nakshatra lord. And each of those lords rules specific houses for a Capricorn. So the same transit tells three different stories.

Phase one, 25 November 2026 to about late March 2027: home and gains. Rahu sits in Dhanishta, ruled by Mars. For Capricorn, Mars rules the 4th house (home, property, vehicles, mother) and the 11th house (gains, networks, ambitions fulfilled). So Rahu’s hunger in this phase flows toward property and income.

Many Capricorns will want to buy, move, renovate or expand, and to grow their network. Meanwhile Ketu sits in Ashlesha, ruled by Mercury, your 6th and 9th lord. In your 7th house, that can bring health or dispute matters into a partnership, or differences of belief with your spouse.

Phase two, about late March to early December 2027: the partner. Rahu moves into Shravana, ruled by the Moon. For Capricorn, the Moon rules your 7th house. Notice what happens: Rahu sits on your Moon, in a nakshatra ruled by your 7th lord, while Ketu sits in your 7th. All of this phase points one way, at your relationships.

Marriage, business partnerships, contracts and how you deal with the public become the centre of 2027. From about August, Ketu moves into Pushya, ruled by Saturn, your own sign lord. That brings a quiet question into the partnership: how much of myself am I giving here?

Phase three, about early December 2027 to June 2028: transformation. Rahu enters Uttarashadha, ruled by the Sun, which is your 8th lord. Realistically, this is the phase to be most careful with health, joint finances, insurance, inheritance and anything sudden.

It is also the phase of deep research and inner change, and the 8th house rewards those who face hard truths. Ketu moves through Pushya and finally into Punarvasu, ruled by Jupiter, your 3rd and 12th lord. That brings courage, a pull toward spiritual life, and possibly travel.

Your nakshatra decides when it hits

Rahu doesn’t touch every Capricorn at the same moment. The real intensity comes in the few months when Rahu passes over the exact degree of your Moon. It’s the slow eclipse at its fullest. Because Rahu moves backward, Capricorns born in Dhanishta feel it first and those born in Uttarashadha feel it last.

But here is what nobody else will tell you. That moment of exact crossing will fall inside very different skies for different Capricorns. For some it will coincide with Jupiter’s protection. For others it coincides with Saturn’s pressure. Find your Moon’s degree in your kundli, and read your row:

Your Moon in Capricorn Rahu crosses it roughly The sky at that time
Dhanishta (23°20′–30°) Late Nov 2026 – Mar 2027 Jupiter’s protection arrives from late January
Shravana (18°30′–23°20′) Apr – Jun 2027 Fully inside the Jupiter window
Shravana (12°–18°30′) Jul – Oct 2027 Inside the Saturn window, the hardest combination
Shravana (10°–12°) Nov – early Dec 2027 Relief, as Saturn has returned to Pisces
Uttarashadha (7°–10°) Dec 2027 – Jan 2028 Relief continues
Uttarashadha (0°–7°) Feb – Jun 2028 Saturn’s second window, along with phase three

These dates are approximate, because the True Node wobbles slightly, but they’re close enough to plan your year around.

If you fall in the middle of Shravana or the early part of Uttarashadha, I want to be realistic with you: your exact crossing happens while your own sign lord, debilitated, is looking at your Moon. Those months will ask the most of you.

But knowing that in advance changes everything. You can arrange your life so that you aren’t starting a business, getting married or making a major investment in exactly those months. Prepared, this is a test you pass.

Your windows: when to move, when to hold

Your best months: late January to late June 2027

From about 25 January to 26 June 2027, Jupiter returns to Cancer, your 7th house, where it is exalted. It sits beside Ketu and casts its full gaze straight back onto your Moon and the Rahu sitting on it.

For a Capricorn, this is the clearest stretch of the entire transit. Jupiter’s gaze cuts through Rahu’s fog. Decisions made now tend to be sound ones. And because Jupiter is sitting in your 7th, these months are particularly good for anything involving a partner: marriage, a business partnership, a joint investment, mending a relationship that Ketu had made distant. If you have big decisions to make during this transit, make them here.

Your hardest months: June to October 2027, and again from February 2028

On 3 June 2027, Saturn, your own sign lord, enters Aries, your 4th house, where it is debilitated. This begins your Kantak Shani dhaiya. From Aries, Saturn looks at three places in your chart at once: your 6th house of health and daily work, your 10th house of career, and your own Moon, where Rahu is sitting.

That is a lot of pressure in one stretch: home, health, career and mind, all at once. Realistically, expect fatigue, delays at work, worry about property or your mother, and a mind that is harder to quiet. Saturn returns to Pisces, your 3rd house, on 20 October 2027, and you’ll feel the relief within weeks. It re-enters Aries in February 2028, and the dhaiya continues beyond this transit.

There is one softening factor. From late June 2027, Jupiter is back in Leo, your 8th house, and from there its 9th aspect falls on your 4th house, the very house where Saturn sits. In the hardest stretch, Jupiter still keeps one hand on your home.

The practical rule for Capricorn is simple: decide and begin before June 2027; protect and consolidate from June to October; recover and plan from November.

Putting it together: a worked example

Let me show you how to read all of this for one person. Take a Capricorn woman with her Moon at 15° Capricorn, in Shravana. Over the next 18 months, she wants to launch her own consultancy and get engaged.

From the table above, Rahu crosses her Moon exactly between July and October 2027, right inside the Saturn window. Those are her most pressured months, so neither the launch nor the engagement should fall there.

Instead, she registers the business and takes her first clients between February and March 2027. That is phase one, with Rahu in a Mars nakshatra activating her 11th house of gains, and Jupiter’s window already open. She plans the engagement for April or May, in phase two, when the Moon, her 7th lord, is the nakshatra lord and Jupiter is still sitting in her 7th house.

From June to October she doesn’t expand. She serves the clients she has, protects her sleep and keeps her health appointments. In December 2027, as phase three begins, she sorts out insurance and the business’s paperwork.

Same transit, same pressure. But because she knew the map, nothing important was started in the wrong month.

Aligning with the energy: your plan

I don’t give rituals for transits. I ask you to understand the energy, see where it sits, and arrange your life around it. For a Capricorn, this is what that means.

Rahu in your 1st: give the hunger one direction. Rahu wants you to become more. Don’t fight that; channel it. Choose one defining goal for these 18 months, the thing you most want to be true of your life by mid-2028, and build toward it step by step.

Capricorn is Saturn’s sign, so the aligned way is structured and patient: a plan with milestones, not a leap. Because the 1st house is also the body, make physical discipline part of it.

A daily walk, yoga or training gives Rahu’s restless energy somewhere to go. And use the visibility this placement offers: lead the project, take the stage, put your work in front of people.

Protect the mind deliberately. Rahu on the Moon clouds judgement just when ambition is highest. So build in a simple rule: no major decision on the same day you feel strongly about it. Wait 48 hours. Keep a fixed sleep time. Write things down, because writing separates genuine intuition from Rahu’s noise.

Ketu in your 7th: release dependence, not the relationship. Ketu loosens attachment, and in Cancer that attachment is emotional. In marriage, the aligned response isn’t to cling harder or to withdraw. It’s to stop needing your partner to fill every emotional gap, while making time together on purpose.

In business, Ketu here is asking whether your partnerships still serve both sides. Put agreements in writing, review the ones that have gone stale, and exit cleanly where needed.

Then align with each phase.

  • Phase one (Mars, your 4th and 11th lord): this is your property and income phase. Plan the house, the vehicle, the renovation, and act on them once Jupiter arrives in late January. Grow your network now.
  • Phase two (Moon, your 7th lord): make partnership decisions in the spring, under Jupiter. From June, don’t enter new partnerships or contracts. Strengthen the ones you have.
  • Phase three (Sun, your 8th lord): do the protective work early. Get preventive health screening, review insurance, clear debts, write your will. A Capricorn who walks into 2028 prepared will find the 8th house teaches rather than shocks.

Your Capricorn planner, November 2026 to June 2028

Save this, or share it with a Capricorn you care about.

Period What the sky is doing How to align
25 Nov 2026 – 24 Jan 2027 Rahu arrives on your Moon; phase one begins Settle in. Choose your one goal. Start a physical routine. No rushed decisions
25 Jan – late Mar 2027 Jupiter window opens; phase one continues (home, gains) Act on property, vehicle and income plans. Build your network
Late Mar – 2 Jun 2027 Phase two begins (partner); Jupiter window continues Make marriage and partnership decisions. Sign the important contracts
3 – 26 Jun 2027 Saturn enters Aries; the two windows overlap Finish what you started. Avoid signing anything new late in the month
27 Jun – 20 Oct 2027 Saturn window: Kantak dhaiya, Saturn’s gaze on your Moon Consolidate. Protect health, home and career. No new commitments
21 Oct – early Dec 2027 Saturn back in your 3rd: relief Recover. Review the year. Plan 2028
Early Dec 2027 – Jan 2028 Phase three begins (transformation) Health screening, insurance, clearing debts, legal paperwork
Feb – Jun 2028 Saturn’s second window; Rahu’s final months on your Moon Hold steady. No risky moves. Prepare for Rahu’s shift to your 12th

If your Moon degree places your exact crossing inside one of the harder stretches, treat those months as your most important ones to protect.

The Capricorn who comes out of this

When Rahu leaves your Moon in mid-2028, you will not be the same person who entered it. That’s the nature of this transit. The question is only whether the change is something you chose and built, or something that happened to you. With a clear map and an honest plan, it can be the period you look back on as the turning point of your decade.

This guide is based on your Moon sign and your nakshatra. Your full chart adds the rest: which of your planets sit in Capricorn or Cancer, where Rahu and Ketu sit at birth, and what dasha you are running. Any of these can change the picture considerably.
